It's possible one of the most simple games out at the moment - but let's face it, where have all the platformers gone?! As you may pick up from some of my work and influences in animation (Tim Burton, Shane Acker, Henry Selick) I love dark black and white work, especially with silhouettes and trees! So when I saw this game I was rather amazed, to be honest.
Now I have bought it, I am not disappointed. Not only is it a beautiful piece of art/animation, the combination of a puzzle platformer game and a dark sense of horror throughout is very successful in my eyes.. It may be simple and very quiet, but this emphasises the tension when the character dies, which I think is really effective.
This game is developed by Danish company PlayDead, and mainly designed by their co-founder Arnt Jensen. I will look out for my stuff by this company and remember this for future reference. :D

Now I haven't been doing much work this summer so far. To be frank, I have done next to nothing on 3DS MAX since the relief of my presentation being over. Now I have my results and feedback though, I plan on getting some practice done so I can get my head around lighting and animation. I will do these separate for simplicity... I don't know whether I want to go down the animation, visualisation or games design route yet, so will try a bit of simple visualisation to see how good a standard I can achieve when lighting is effective. I still have a feeling my passion of being an animator is a bit farfetched... It's very hard to do!!
Toodle pip.
I will have something to show before I turn 20 a month today! (Oh god, I am old! lol D: )
